Registration

LASA is registered in Luxembourg as a non-profit association (association sans but lucratif, asbl) under the legal name “Luxemburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften und Künste” (RCS Luxembourg F14469). It operates publicly in English as the “Luxembourg Academy of Sciences and Arts (LASA)”.

Funding

LASA is independently governed and does not currently receive core operating funding from any government or public-sector body. The Academy may receive lawful public or private grants, donations, sponsorships and project funding in support of its statutory purposes, subject to appropriate governance, transparency and independence safeguards.

LASA does not currently administer research grant or fellowship programmes. Any future funding opportunities will be announced on the LASA website.

Disclosure policy

LASA discloses its institutional partnerships publicly. Only institutions with a written agreement or formally confirmed cooperation record are listed as partners.

LASA publishes selected basic professional profiles of Members and Foreign Members in accordance with its privacy and publication procedures. LASA does not disclose non-public membership records or personal information. Verification of an academic distinction may be requested through membership@lasa.lu , subject to applicable privacy procedures.

What LASA is not

LASA is not a national academy, a government body, or an EU institution. LASA does not award academic degrees, sponsor visas, or confer formal professional accreditation.
