Luxembourg Academy of Sciences and Arts Joins CIVICUS as an Associate Member

The Luxembourg Academy of Sciences and Arts (LASA) has joined CIVICUS: World Alliance for Citizen Participation as an Associate Member.

CIVICUS is a global alliance bringing together civil society organisations and individuals from around the world to strengthen citizen action, international solidarity and a more inclusive, effective and accountable civil society.

For LASA, the membership provides an additional platform for international engagement, knowledge exchange and dialogue with organisations working across different regions and areas of public interest.

As an independent, non-governmental and non-profit academic and cultural association based in Luxembourg, LASA promotes interdisciplinary exchange across science, education, arts, humanities and culture. Through its participation in the CIVICUS community, LASA looks forward to exploring opportunities related to knowledge sharing, education, sustainable development, public dialogue and international cooperation.

LASA will seek to participate selectively in relevant CIVICUS activities and member opportunities where its academic, educational and cultural perspectives can make a practical contribution.

The membership also forms part of LASA’s continuing efforts to strengthen its institutional networks and develop meaningful links with international civil society and knowledge-based organisations.
